Excuse me?

In a story about the controversy involving bloggers who were invited to the Democratic National Convention and then disinvited, AP Internet writer, Anick Jesdanun (of all people) makes a rather revealing slip.

More than 30 independent Web journalists have been accredited to cover the Democratic convention, and the Republicans said Friday they’ll also credential so-called bloggers.
“So-called bloggers?” What kind of alien lifeform is that?

  1. Terry,

    Happy (late) birthday to you!

Don’t you find it interesting that the party of "diversity" is running around acting like a "top-down" control system? I would say communists/socialists, but I’ll err on the side of caution.

They have blown it with this, and the "influencers" are out in full force stirring up commentary – and calling them on their hypocrisy.

While I’m registered as a Republican, my politics lean toward little "L" libertarianism – financial conservative, social liberal.

The Democrats are flailing and it’s only going to get worse for them as time (and demographics) goes on, I think. Perhaps we’ll see a viable third party finally emerge.

Take care and keep up the great work!

    Mark
