AOL snatches up multimedia search company
Earlier this week, I told you about Singingfish.com, the Internet’s first multimedia search company, and why such technology was important in a Postmodern world.

The piece introduces us to SingingFish, the first company to offer such searching as its core business model. This is worthwhile reading and a subject to watch, as broadband continues to grow and more producers offer online video. When Google News first came on the scene, I commented that a similar methodology for video news was inevitable. If I only knew the investors…
Yesterday, AOL said it had agreed to buy SingingFish, making it the immediate leader in this growing field. Apparently, they didn’t want Yahoo or Google to get that advantage.
