Alternative papers doing well
A report in MediaDailyNews reveals 2003 ad revenues for the nation’s alternative papers was up 6 percent from the previous year. That compares to only a 2.5 percent increase for traditional newspapers. This is important, because it shows that media buyers are wise to the youthful audiences these papers garner. Why do you think many mainstream papers are launching their own alternative publications?

TV stations should pay attention to this, because the Internet gives us the ability to do likewise. Why try to “force” everybody into the same mold known as “our Website?” Makes no sense to me. Better to create separate sites to appeal to various niches.
